Research Fellow, Sussex

The School of Media, Arts and Humanities at the University of Sussex is looking to appoint a Research Fellow in Digital Culture

Appointment from 1 September 2020 to contribute to developing research in digital media cultures in the school. The successful candidate will

normally: • Possess a completed doctorate in a relevant academic discipline • Demonstrate evidence of engagement in high-quality research activity • Contribute to the development of digital media, arts and humanities research • Engage with digital production, arts and/or cultural practices, and/or digital humanities and methods. • Demonstrate research links to feminist science studies, critical race studies and/or work on gender and sexuality

1 To conduct practice based and/or theoretically based research activity in areas across digital culture, digital arts and digital humanities, with an ability to engage with critical race studies, feminist science studies and queer studies.

2 To undertake independent as well as guided and collaborative research on projects engaging with intersections across race, gender, sexuality and aspects of digital culture including genomics, algorithms, machine learning and AI.
