The IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca is seeking a research
collaborator in the field of digital humanities.
During his/her research period, the candidate must develop his research
activities in the Museo Nazionale di Villa Guinigi. Candidate should work
on new museum digital archive, comprising the whole museum collection
(catalogue and inventories).The candidate is required to develop her/his
research in cooperation with Museo Nazionale di Villa Guinigi direction and
staff members and with the other research collaborators involved in the
Palazzo Mansi project. The candidate could participate in the IMT Research
Unit LYNX research and cultural activities, in particular projects
regarding history of art, cultural heritage cataloguing, museology and
history of collecting.
The appointed candidate will be involved both in the agreement signed by
Polo Museale della Toscana and IMT School for Advanced Studies and in the
research project financed by Regione Toscana called "100 assegni per la
cultura" including Tuscan universities and cultural entities.
The candidate must prove research experience in the digital humanities, in
particular those technologies involving cultural heritage and museums.
She/He has to prove their experience in the creation of digital archive, of
complex databases, organization of catalogues and inventories, in
particular of art objects. A good knowledge of the main Italian Ministry of
Cultural Heritage databases will be taken into account in the evaluation.
The candidate must show excellent knowledge of the state of the art in the
research field of the call.
