Lectureship in Digital Humanities, School of English


Permanent Whole Time Post

 

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Lecturer in Digital Humanities, reporting to the Head of the discipline of Digital Humanities.

 

This is a post with a full teaching schedule in our Masters and BA programmes. The person appointed will hold a doctoral qualification, have research experience leading to publication, and significant sectoral experience. Ideally, they should have demonstrated potential to collaborate in and contribute to one of the following areas of research interest: Electronic Literature, Text Analysis, Digital Narratives, Research Data & Digital Project Management and ideally be eager to teach all aspects of the Digital Humanities from First Year undergraduate to Final Year PhD.


Our teaching is student-centred, research-based, blended and ‘flipped’, both face-to-face and online. Applicants must demonstrate:


· a proven track record in delivering innovative teaching and learning experiences in Digital Humanities across the breadth of the Digital Humanities discipline;
· experience of creation, design and delivery of Digital Humanities projects;
· experience of online teaching.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €33,481 - €59,132 / €64,627 - €83,096
In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
