ER Fellowship, Maynooth

the ER 2 fellowship in Maynooth (start date 1 February 2015) is now 
open for applications.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher to join 
a vibrant digital humanities research centre at Maynooth University. 
An Foras Feasa seeks a experienced researcher which is funded by the 
Marie Curie funded Digital Scholarly Editions Initial Training Network 
(DiXIT) to work at the intersections of digital scholarly editions and 
big data.

The successful candidate will be part of the Letters of 1916
(letters1916.ie) project team and play a key role in the next phase of 
the project’s development in migrating the project from its current 
state as a transcription desk to a digital scholarly edition that 
integrates big data approaches, including topic modelling, network 
analysis, and geo-temporal visualisations.

Experienced Researchers must (at the time of recruitment) be in 
possession of a doctoral degree or have at least four years of 
full-time equivalent re search experience. At the time of recruitment 
an experienced researcher must also have less than five years of 
full-time equivalent research experience

This is a 12-month position. There is one planned secondment of three 
months at University of Antwerp to increase awareness of the 
complexity mark-up and how it may be leveraged in a dynamically 
structured edition.
