*ACCOMMODATION SECURED: SECOND CLS INFRA TRAINING SCHOOL **

Digging for Gold: Knowledge Extraction from Text (UNED, Madrid), 9-11 May 2023

Applications close 1 March

(apologies for cross-posting) We are happy to announce that successful applicants to the "Digging for Gold: Knowledge Extraction from Text" CLS INFRA Training School will have breakfasts, lunches and hotel accommodation provided through UNED. We hope this will open the opportunity to those for whom the cost of training is prohibitive.

If you are eager to kick start your research in Digital Humanities and Computational Literary Studies, we will work with techniques from Stylometry to Natural Language Processing to learn how to uncover information from a corpus of text. You will be completing your own analyses and visualizing the results in a hands-on way. We will work with existing code that is plug and play, so it is not necessary to have existing experience in Python or R. Most of all, it will be a fun and safe environment to boost your textual analysis skills. You'll be surprised what precious information you can extract from your own data set!

For full details on the Madrid Training School, including a provisional schedule and application information, visit CLS INFRA Training Schooland follow us for further updates on @clsinfra and Mastodon @CLSinfra@fedihum.org.

Registration for this Training School session closes on 1 March 2023, but we will be producing others later in the year.
